HALINKA ART
01 about
My sculptures are created from materials that are discarded, mostly drinks cans.

The inspiration comes from the natural world, including insects and plants.

Each component is hand cut and every sculpture is unique

The art is displayed in 3d frames to emulate natural history specimen trays and each artwrork is labelled with text created with a vintage typewriter

04 the artist
I am Basia, the artist and maker behind Halinka-art, based near Windsor in the UK.
Designing, making and creating has always been important to me. I have worked with a diverse range of materials including paper, fabric, metals, concrete and glass amongst other mediums.

My recycled sculptures are inspired by nature and are a recent addition to my portfolio of work.
They marry up my love of design, manufacturing and creativity together with the importance of recycling our precious earths resources.
I particularly love using a discarded object that would other wise end up in landfill and giving it a new life as something to treasure.
